Highschool

The High School is secondary education. In The first two classes the students have a package of 7 compartments. These are: Mathematics, English, social science, biology, religion, physical development, botany and swimming.
In the third, students may choose a study direction.

There are three disciplines to know:
Tourism (there are three syllabi to know about this study direction; Basic economics and management, nutrition and social learning)
Science (there are three syllabi to know about this study direction; Biology, chemistry and human and social biology)
Business Management (there are three syllabi in this direction of study; Office administration, Basic principles of business Management and Accountancy Basics)

Each pupil may choose six courses per study direction. A combination of the boxes Of all three disciplines is also possible.
In every study direction that is full time, the English and mathematics courses are compulsory.
The study duration is at least two years dependent on the pupil's inflow. The school times are from 8 o'clock V.M. to 13 o'clock N. M. A lesson lasts 45 minutes.

Curriculum

FORM 1 AND 2
English, Mathematics, Spanish, Agri-science, Home Economics, Science, Social Studies, Religion, Physical Education.
In form 3 students can choose either a business or science direction. In addition to the basic package students can choose from: Office Administration, Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts, Food and Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
In form 4 students start writing SBAs(School based assessments) which are part of the exam for several subjects and these SBAs are sent to CXC Barbados.

Note: Regardless of the combination of subjects chosen, English, Mathematics and one science subject are mandatory. A minimum of 6 subjects is required.

Entry Requirements
Pupils who have completed primary school.
Pupils who hold a secondary education diploma.
There is also a possibility for students who are advanced in secondary education and do not have a diploma to register at CEIS.

Flow Requirements
The figures are expressed in%. Points are linked to the figures, with 4.0 being the maximum. This point system is called Grade Point Average (GPA). To pass, the student must have an average of 62% -65% or a GPA of 2.0

Outflow options
International
5th grade graduates who have passed at least 5 courses can go anywhere in the world. Some countries where students have been: Trinidad and Tobago, America, the Netherlands, South Africa and Mexico.

National
The graduates can be admitted depending on their field of study

At the IOL for the students who choose Biology and Chemistry
Polytechnic College for students who choose Chemistry.
